How to Build Shaker Style Cabinet Doors

Building Shaker Style Cabinet Doors! Ram ProMaster Van Build Conversion – Episode 22 | Jason Klunk

I was dreading this project for so long because I had so many cabinet doors and drawer fronts to make and I wasn’t sure how I wanted to do them. I actually contemplated buying unfinished cabinet fronts from a company like Baker, but I decided to try and make them myself instead.

The rails are made with poplar 1×3’s and the inserts are made from 1/4″ MDF. I went the easy route and did pocket joints instead of doing mortise and tenon, but I’m happy with how they turned out. I’m really excited to get these hung up, the van will look so much different.

In the next article we’ll go over the flooring installation, so stay tuned. Yewwwwwwwww!

Installing a Real Tile Backsplash in a Van

Real Hexagon Tile Backsplash in a Van! Ram ProMaster Van Build Conversion – Episode 21 | Jason Klunk

This week we installed our tile backsplash in the van! We choose to do real tile and I am absolutely stoked with how it turned out. Not too shabby for someone with no backsplash experience.

The hexagon tile looks great, but they are a huge pain to work with so proceed with caution if you choose to do something similar. We’ve had the backsplash in the van for about 3 months without issues, I will keep you updated if anything changes.

In the next article we’ll start working on building shaker style cabinet doors and drawer fronts, so stay tuned. Yewwwwwwwww!

Finishing Off Rear Walls in a ProMaster

Finishing Rear Van Walls with Shiplap! Ram ProMaster Van Build Conversion – Episode 20 | Jason Klunk

Today’s video is a little different than usual. I mentioned it in one of my previous build videos, but basically what happened is that I tried finishing off my rear walls one way, filmed everything, didn’t like how it turned out, ripped it all out and redid it. So I’m showing the footage from the first attempt and how it looks now.

This was one of the most frustrating parts of my build, so hopefully something you see here can give you some ideas on how to finish these walls if you are doing a similar style build.

In the next article, I’ll go over how I installed my real tile backsplash in the van, so stay tuned. Yewwwwwwwww!
